USG Core Revision

As I mentioned in our last meeting, the University System of Georgia is contemplating a revision of the core.  I encourage you to keep up-to-date on their progress by reviewing their website: http://core.usg.edu/. You can sign up for email alerts  (they don’t come very often) and read/post comments on the various aspects of the core.  You might find the learning goals/outcomes particularly relevant to our work.

Since you are new to the system you might want to “catch up” on what happened last year, which resulted in a complete rehaul of the process.  The original USG site (www.strongfoundations.usg.edu) no longer exists but you can read the opposition site and blog at http://georgiacorecurriculum.org/.
