IC-bG Summer Institute

Dear All,
I will be working on organizing our Summer Institute in the near future. We have the space reserved at the Macon Center on Friday June 29th. We chose a Friday to avoid conflict with Summer 1 classes and to have the Macon Center staffed( as opposed to un-staffed on a weekend).

Thanks to funding from the Dean of Arts & Sciences, the cost of the conference for participants will be minimal, perhaps $25 and free to GC A&S faculty.

At this point, I am trying to figure out who will participate from IC-bG. We will need help with a variety of tasks – such as help with pre-registration, on-site registration, snacks, arranging catering, preparing conference materials, recruiting GC faculty, communication with off-campus participants, and of course workshop presentations. And all the other things I don’t know about yet 🙂

It would be really, really helpful to know what kind of people power we have, so please take a minute to respond to this email with one of the following responses:

1. I will likely/definitely be there on the 29th.
2. I can’t be there on the 29th but I can help ahead of time.
3. I won’t be able to participate this time.

You can even just send me an email with 1, 2, or 3 in the subject line.

Thanks,
Laurie
