IC-bG road trip continues …

Yesterday (3/22/12) members of the ICbG gave their first invited workshop at Oxford College of Emory. We (Caralyn Zehnder, Karynne Kleine, Julia Metzker & Laurie Huffman) presented a morning workshop on backward course design, evaluating goals and mapping activities to goals to a group of faculty as part of their CETL series. Then we presented a similar workshop in the afternoon to their Inquiry-guided learning faculty seminar. It was a lot of fun and we were very well received. From Jeff Galle (their CETL director) “It is unanimous: your presentations were excellent! Several faculty have said they want to do further work on their objectives now, essentially to make them more understandable to students (for whom they are intended rather than the dean or as a check off requirement).”

… And on to Helen!
