Climate Change Pop-up Museum; 3:00-5:00 PM TODAY, Library @ Georgia College

Come visit our exhibits today!!

Subject: Climate Change Pop-up Museum; 3:00-5:00 PM THIS Friday, Library @ Georgia College

[This Friday – April 26, 3-5pm, Library Atrium]

Have you wondered if Global Warming is responsible for our Weather?

Our Chemistry & Climate GC1Y students will answer this question in the form of a "pop-up" museum. The Scenario:

Students are museum curators for the local science museum .

Recently their community has experienced unusually hot summers and a lack of rain that has led to drought conditions.

The museum director has tasked the curators with developing an interactive unit for all ages (5-80) that shows the scientific explanation for climate change that addresses the following questions:

  1. Is the planet warming?
  2. How is global warming connected to energy use?
  3. Does global warming affect our local weather? If so, how?

Drop in after the senate meeting or your other Friday afternoon meetings and unwind at an interactive learning experience by our 3 teams of first-year students.

We look forward to seeing you there.
