Conference on the Americas​


Georgia College will host the 17th Annual Conference on the Americas Feb. 7 and 8, 2014.

The Americas Council provides an annual conference for presenters and participants to explore critical socio-cultural, political, economic, global, regional and national issues including the challenges and opportunities facing Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada. Proposals for individual papers and panels on specific topics are now being requested.

Deadline for Submission of Abstracts: Dec. 13, 2013

The conference is jointly sponsored by the following institutions: The Americas Council of the University System of Georgia, Armstrong Atlantic University, Georgia Gwinnett College, Georgia College, Georgia Perimeter College, Kennesaw State University and the University of North Georgia.

The conference is also sponsored by the following departments: Georgia College Department of Modern Languages & Cultures, Latin American & Caribbean Studies, J. Whitney Bunting College of Business and College of Arts & Sciences.


Individuals: $50.00 (by Jan. 28) $60.00 (after Jan. 28 ) Lunch included.
Students: no charge when presenting a university ID – Lunch $15.
