IC-bG Mentors Facilitate Workshop at New Faculty Orientation at GC

On Monday, Aug 8, 2016 IC-bG mentors, Cynthia Alby and Lori Robinson, facilitated a day-long workshop for faculty new to Georgia College.  The workshop, titled “Introduction to Integrated/Backward Course Design”, guided participants through several activities that prompted conversations about how their courses will contribute to a liberal education.

Participants used the activities to begin creating a course unit based on the book “Understanding By Design” by McTighe and Wiggins.

IC-bG mentors will be offering a similar workshop on the Georgia College campus on Aug 19th in collaboration with the Center for Faculty Development, Contact us for details.
